- Provide 2 Drumstick
- You need 1/2 Large onions
- Take 1 Tomato
- Get 1 Big green chilli
- Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

- Provide For masala :
- Prepare 1/4 cup Grated coconut
- Take 1/4 tsp Cumin
Instructions to make Drumstick Kootu:
- In a mixer jar, combine the grated coconut, cumin and green chillies and grind to a coarse paste. - chop the drumstick, tomato and big onion.
- Heat oil in a cooker, then add mustard, cumin, dried chilli, onions, green chillies, tomatoes and saute well.
- Then add the chopped drumstick, salt, turmeric powder and hing and saute well.
- Now Add the coconut paste to the vegetables and cook for 2 whistles.
- Sprinkle with coriander leaves, if required. Serve with hot rice.
In a kadai heat oil - add green chillies, then tomato saute till it turns mushy. Add turmeric powder and sambar powder. Saute and cook for a minute. Cook covered till the greens is cooked and turns soft. Drumsticks are mostly used for preparing sambhar and aviyal.
