The ingredients needed to cook Chili:
  1. Provide 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, venison)
  2. Provide 1 onion chopped
  3. Get 1 green bell pepper chopped
  4. Take 1 jalapeño chopped

  6. You need 1 can tomato sauce (28 oz)
  7. Provide 1 can petite diced tomatos (15 oz)

  11. Get 1 tsp cumin
  12. Provide 1/2 tsp sugar

  15. Provide 1/4 tsp cayenne or to taste
Instructions to make Chili:
  1. Brown meat in pot or dutch oven - Strain fat and set of to side in a bowl
  2. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to pan and cook pepper, jalapeno, onion, and garlic until soft about 6 minutes
  3. Add seasoning to peppers and onions. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
  4. If using a crockpot - add meat, peppers, onions, beans, tomatos, and tomato sauce to slow cooker. Mix together. - - Set on high for 4 hours or low 6-8 hours.
  5. If making this stove top - add meat, drained beans, canned tomato, and tomato sauce. - - Bring to a boil, then cover and lower to a simmer for 1.5-2 hours
  6. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, scallions, or whatever you prefer. Enjoy!
