Before you jump to Gingersnap Cookies recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about The Basics of Being Healthy.

We all understand that, in order to really be healthful, nutritious and balanced meal plans are important as are good amounts of exercise. Sadly, there isn’t always enough time or energy for us to really do the things we need to do. Going to the gym isn’t something people decide to do when they get off from work. A juicy, grease laden burger is usually our food of choice and not a leafy green salad (unless we are vegetarians). The good news is that making healthy decisions doesn’t have to be irritating. If you are diligent you’ll get all of the activity and healthy food you need. Here are some ideas to be as healthful as possible.

Run the stairs. Instead of selecting the elevator, ascend the stairs to your floor. Obviously this isn’t as plausible if you work on the 25th floor of a high rise, but if you work on the fourth, climbing the stairs is a fantastic way to get some exercise in. Even if you do live or work on one of the higher floors, you can still get out of the elevator first and climb up the stairs the rest of the way. So many people pick the elevator over hiking even a single flight of stairs. That just one flight of stairs—when taken a few times a day—can be just the additional boost that your system needs.

There are a whole lot of things that factor into getting healthy. An overpriced gym membership and very hard to stick to diets are not the only way to do it. Little things, when done every single day, can do a lot to help you get healthy and lose pounds. Make shrewd choices every day is a great start. Trying to get in as much physical exercise as possible is another. The numbers on the scale aren’t the only signal of your health levels. You need to help make your body as strong you can make it.

We hope you got insight from reading it, now let’s go back to gingersnap cookies recipe. You can have gingersnap cookies using 15 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you do it.

The ingredients needed to cook Gingersnap Cookies:
  1. Provide and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  2. Prepare ground ginger
  3. Prepare ground cinnamon
  4. Provide baking soda
  5. You need fine salt
  6. Use ground cloves
  7. Get ground black pepper
  8. Provide cayenne pepper
  9. Use unsalted butter, softened
  10. You need white sugar
  11. Take finely minced candied ginger
  12. Take molasses
  13. Prepare vanilla extract
  14. Use large egg, beaten
  15. Use white sugar, or as needed for rolling cookies
Instructions to make Gingersnap Cookies:
  1. Whisk flour, ground ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, cloves, black pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a large mixing bowl
  2. Cream the butter and 2/3 cup sugar together in a separate bowl until smooth, for about 2 minutes. Add the candied ginger, molasses, vanilla, and egg. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Add dry ingredients to butter/sugar mixture and mix just until the flour disappears. Cover dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour
  4. Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour 1/2 cup sugar in a small shallow dish for rolling cookies.
  5. Form dough into 1 1/2 teaspoon balls, then roll in the sugar before placing on the lined baking sheet.
  6. Flatten the cookies to about 1/4 inch thick. (I like to cover the cookie with a small piece of parchment or plastic wrap and then flatten with the bottom of a 1/4 cup measuring cup. The plastic or paper helps keep the cookie from sticking to whatever you use to flatten it). I have also tried rolling out the dough 1/4 inch thick to cut out gingersnap people with a cookie cutter. Dough will soften up if you do this, so rechill as needed.
  7. Sprinkle cookies with a pinch of sugar before baking in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. (Less time for a chewier cookie, more time for a snappier cookie)
  8. Once cookies are cooled, you can decorate with icing if desired, but they really don't need anything and are delicious on their own!
